Butterpot Park Closed (posted Jan 24th 2011)
Due to extemely poor conditions on the trails Keith has closed the Park until conditions improve. There are large icy patches and a lot of slush patches.


Pursuit Race Postponed (posted Jan 22nd 2011)
The conditions at Butterpot are marginal and it looks like we might get significant snow tomorrow afternoon, so the race has been postponed until the following weekend in the hope of better conditions.

Last Minute Changes to Lessons/Race (posted Jan 21st 2011)
The snow at Butterpot has held up reasonably well so as of now the lessons for Sat and the race Sun are going ahead. Please check the Avalon Nordic Forum tomorrow and Sunday for last minute changes.


Pippy Park Sprint Race Cancelled Tonight (posted Jan 20th 2011)
Conditions at Pippy are thin and slushy with patches of bare pavement so the sprint races are cancelled tonight. Hopefully we will go ahead next Thursday. more »

Avalon Nordic Pursuit Race Sun Jan 23 (posted on Jan 18th 2011)Register Now!
Bib pickup is between 9:30 -9:55am, races for Bunnies and Jackrabbits will start at 10am and races for Track Attack and above will start at 11am. Although a pursuit race involves skiing classic technique then changing skis and skiing skate technique, the race can also be done all skate, all classic, or as a relay with each team member skiing 1 technique. This race is for everyone including beginners. more »

Weather permitting children's lessons(Bunnies, Jackrabbits, Track Attack) will go ahead this weekend. Please check the Forum for latest updates.

Philip McIlroy is off racing at the World U20 Trials in Thunder Bay. Yesterday Philip was 35th overall, and 3rd for his age class, in the 20K pursuit race. more »

Membership Registration 2010-2011(posted on) Register now!
Club membership for the 2010-2011 season has now opened.  The Club will again be using an internet based registration system by Zone4 for Club Memberships and Junior Development Program registration. more »
